Very nice filly, great frame with lots of leg and good length. Strength is coming, keeping limbs in order with 2 week trims and her coat color has improved. Will be a neat filly.
Still plenty of frame, just need to put little more condition on, this will come gradually. Toes out slightly left front, pushing right out some so they match and stay balanced. Covers a lot of ground for a young foal.
She’s sharp, nice filly. Great color and just so racey, she’s going to be a lovely filly. Front limbs look good, should be fine to wean on schedule.
Will give her a bit more time before weaning, condition is good but she’s not too heavy and is fine on the mare for now. Tracks well, she’s offset naturally but she doesn’t rock through her knees and she’s a beautiful, athletic mover. Totally different from the PJ colt, she will be lovely in time.
Filly is ready to be weaned now, expect her condition will improve a bit more once she’s off the mare. She’s done well through her front limbs, still offset through left knee but she tracks pretty well through it.
We’re really happy with how this filly has done in the last few weeks, you can see she’s put on good condition and grown quite a bit. Her limbs fit her frame right now, expect she’ll grow more bone but she’s naturally elegant and athletic. Excellent mover. Coat quality is great, very nice color.
Little narrow and light again now in the last few weeks as she’s grown more, part of it is naturally how she’s made but will make sure she’s getting what she needs to keep her weight healthy as it is. Guiding her left front out a bit more in the last trim cycle.
Happy to see this filly put on really good condition recently despite the cold temps we’ve had, she looks very well. We continue to push her out with the farrier, her left is still worse than the right, and will do so as long as her knees stay quiet. If we need to balance for a few cycles we’ll do that.
Quite high in her quarters and in a growthy stage, she has really lengthened and stand over considerable ground now. Very light on her feet and athletic, gorgeous color. We will plan to x ray her in the next group. Time will be her friend, so if we plan to sell would consider Sept or Oct.
Looks like we are starting to turn a corner and see more condition coming on her frame, she is benefiting from the lush grass we have now. We will x ray mid April, and can discuss if we want to enter her in September. Limbs look good, will just watch her knees for physis.
X rays show a large fragment in the lower joint of her left knee, Dr. Embertson has recommended that we leave it alone and at this stage we have not entered her in a yearling sale. She is still quite growthy and lengthy, her coat and weight is healthy but would still like to see her put a little more on here in the next few weeks. I don’t think we run the risk of her ever being too heavy, just want to keep her healthy and in good shape for her limbs.
Making steady progress with this filly as she puts on a bit more weight, the nutrition in the grass is helping and she does do well with the amount we are feeding her. Still aim to keep her balanced with healthy weight and managing her limbs. Just keeping her balanced with the farrier, physis is ok in knees.
