Colt is doing very well and has developed more natural muscle over his hip and quarter. Don’t think he will be big, but he is medium/average size right now and typical of a first foal. Wants to toe out left front, keeping front feet balanced and this should come around as he strengthens through his chest.
Very happy with how this colt is developing, he is small but he’s a very nice horse with quality. Super strong, he will be in one of our first groups to wean. Guiding out his left front on two week trim schedule with the farrier, very straightforward.
Has handled weaning no problem, keeps his weight and shape very well. Still quite small for his age but very nice otherwise. Balanced this cycle and opened up bars in his feet to encourage them to spread and not be quite so narrow. Will plan to enter in Nov.
