Nice colt and a good effort for the mare’s first foal, right now he looks a bit more like her than Zandon in shape and color but it could change as he develops. Need to keep pushed out both front, have been careful because he arrived quite contracted in his knees and we’ve been working gradually to correct it.
Really like this colt, he is fancy and just keeps himself really well. We are pushing him out pretty aggressively with trims and seem to be on the right side of it, his knees are fine now. Small hernia to band. Nice baby.
Hasn’t missed a beat since weaning, not a big first foal but he’s very sharp and forward looking. Massive hip and quarter. Still pushing him out both front and feet are small, but he’s holding. Has come a long way through his knees.
