Underwhelmed with this filly at birth, she was smaller than expected and slight/weak in every way. Her condition improved initially, but unfortunately her valgus knees became worse extremely fast. The right now has a screw and wire in it, will monitor and hope we can help her to an acceptable degree.
This filly has turned inside out in recent weeks, her condition is very strong now and she’s powerful over her back and quarter. She looks better than we could have hoped for in front, screw and wire was removed from her right knee on 4/12/25 and the profile is very acceptable. Guiding her out on the right front now, should be ok. Plan to wean on schedule.
This filly has come so far since she was young, to see her now you’d never know what she went through with her knees etc. Profile from screw and wire looks very good, her body condition and strength is where you’d want it. She is medium sized, acceptable for a first foal, and very pretty. Does toe in both front, right more so, keep guiding her out. Keep as yearling.
